Cypress College baseball standouts Jack Flansburg, Nathan Kuchta, and Tyler Gnesda were presented with Charger of the Week honors during practice on Tuesday.

Tyler Gnesda earned Charger of the week for Jan. 25-Feb. 1. Gnesda had an outstanding performance from the plate in an 11-4 victory over Ventura College. He hit two home runs, including a grand slam, and collected seven RBIs to ultimately lead the Chargers to victory.

Jack Flansburg and Nathan Kuchta earned Charger of the Week for Feb.2-Feb.8. Flansburg had a batting average of .800 over a three game span. He had two perfect games from the plate at the David Buttles Tournament, including a 3-3 game with two RBI in the win against Desert and a 4-4 game with 5 RBI the next day against Palomar. Nathan Kuchta (4-0) pitched eight shutout innings in the tournament's opening game against San Bernardino. Kuchta allowed only one hit and collected seven strikeouts in his eight innings pitched to lead the Chargers to their fourth consecutive win.
