The baseball seedings have been released for the 2015 CCCAA baseball regionals with the #5 Cypress Chargers hosting OEC rival #12 Fullerton College. The Orange Empire Conference has proven itself as the best in the state and possibly in the nation with seven of its eight teams participating in the postseason.
The Fullerton Hornets finished 5th in the conference this season with a 20-16 overall record while the Chargers finished 2nd with a 25-11 overall record. However, Fullerton did win the season series 2-1 over the Chargers.
Game One: March 12 at Cypress, FC 6 CYP 5
Game Two: April 21 at Fullerton, CYP 1 FC 4
Game Three: April 23 at Cypress, FC 1 CYP 6
Cypress and Fullerton met in their two final games of the regular season and are very familiar with one another, which should make for an interesting first round match-up. The Chargers will host the Hornets in a best of three match-up on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. The first game is scheduled for Friday at 2:00pm and the second game is scheduled for Saturday at 11:00am.
