March 06, 2024BOILING SPRINGS, NC - Ashley Hawkins, a standout player for the Cypress Women's Basketball program during the 2022-23 season, has been named to the Big South All-Conference First-Team, Big South Newcomer of the Year, and the Scholar Athlete of the Year at NCAA Division 1 Gardner-Webb University.

The department offers eight women's athletic programs: basketball, beach volleyball, soccer, softball, swim and dive, tennis, volleyball, and water polo, with over 100 athletes participating.

January 26, 2024SACRAMENTO, CA- The 3C2A has announced Bernice (Orwig) O'Connor from Cypress College Water Polo to the 2024 3C2A Hall of Fame Class. Orwig is a Olympic Games silver medalist, NCAA National Player of the Year, Three-time All-America selection at USC and National Champion, and served as a coach at the National, Division 1, and Community College levels.
