Cypress, CA --  In their final Saturday home game of the season, the Chargers hosted Golden West and notched another win, 5-2. Cypress has now won six of their last seven games.

The Rustlers brought in a run in the top of the 3rd to tie it up at 1-1. They then went on to take the lead 2-1 after scoring a run in the top of the 5th.

The Chargers came alive in the bottom of the 5th after Joe Duffin came up to bat and hit a double to center field which drove in Matt Tietz and Jack Flansburg. The score did not change from that point and the game ended after the top of the 9th in another conference victory for the Chargers.

Starting off the game for Cypress at pitcher was Jaret Vermillion who pitched a solid six innings, allowing two runs and throwing three strikeouts. Dalton Douty came in to start the seventh in relief of Vermillion and is credited with the save in three innings of work with two strikeouts.
