Cypress, CA -- The Chargers hosted Saddleback in a Tuesday afternoon OEC match-up. The Gauchos got on the board very early and the Chargers were unable to overcome the lead for their fourth conference loss, 6-2. 

Saddleback jumped out to an early five-run lead in the top of the 1st. The inning set the tone for the rest of the game as Cypress struggled offensively throughout the rest of the nine innings. 

Grant Mayeaux scored for the Chargers in the bottom of the third after a Brandon Oliver double to make it 5-1.

The Gauchos answered right back with a run in the top of the fourth to put the score at 6-1. 

In the bottom of the 8th Joe Van Marter scored from second after a double by Joe Duffin, to cut the Gaucho lead to 6-2. 

Cypress was unable to manage any more runs in the 9th and the game ended in a victory for the visiting Gauchos. 

Cypress now falls to 2-4 in OEC play and 11-8 overall.
