Chargers Continue to Roll

Cypress, Calif. --  Three different Chargers scored in the second half to lift Cypress to a victory over the visiting Fullerton College Hornets. 

The Hornets struck first in the 41st minute after Cypress was unable to convert a few different goal opportunities. Fullerton took the 1-0 lead into the break. 

Following halftime the Chargers came to life and took control of the game. In the 56th minute Kendra Serrano scored her second goal of the season off a well placed corner kick that broke through the far-side of the goal

Ten minutes later, in the 66th minute, Danielle Taylor scored off an assist by Jordan Wozniak to put the Chargers up 2-1. Cypress then sealed the win with a goal by Kimberly Gonzalez in the 85th minute to go up 3-1. Credited with the assist is Monique Gerrits

The Chargers improve to 7-3-2 overall and 6-1-1 in conference. They continue to reamain tied for first place in the conference with Santiago Canyon, who beat Norco 7-0 today. Up next, the Chargers head to Mission Viejo next Tuesday, Oct. 22, for a conference match-up against Saddleback at 3pm.
