Two Lady Chargers Head to the PacWest

Two Lady Chargers Head to the PacWest

Cypress College women's basketball standouts Lauren Hong and Jeana Magana have committed to playing NCAA Division II basketball next season. Lauren Hong will become a Vulcan at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, while Jeana Magana will become a Hawk at Holy Names University.

Hong and Magana started over 20 games each for the Chargers last season and were a huge part of the team's success. Orange Empire Conference Second Team selection Jeana Magana led the team in PPG (11.7), RPG (8), BPG (.9), and SPG (1.5) last season. Lauren Hong's 51.9% three-point FG% was the highest in Cypress College history and in the state last season. Hong was the team's third leading scorer averaging 11.1 PPG, along with 2.4 APG, and 4.1 RPG.

Hong and Magana had a strong bond on and off the court while at Cypress, which will make it interesting when they face one another next season in PacWest Conference play.
