San Luis Obispo, CA - The Chargers' bat woke up after being blanked at OCC last week to defeat Cuesta 9-4. Robert Pettey made his first start of the start for Cypress (15-9) and only lasted 2 and 1/3 innings when he gave up four earned runs. Ryan Hartman and John McGill relieved Pettey and allowed only 4 hits the rest of the way and no run for Cuesta. Dylan Moore led off and went 2-for-4, scoring 2 runs and 3 RBIs, clean-up hitter Jonathan Torres went 3-for-5, scoring a run and drove in 2 RBIs. Cuesta's pitching staff only struck out 3 Chargers, Alex Fagalde took the loss after relieving for one and 2/3 inning.
