Cypress, CA - The Chargers had a strong pitching and a 15-hit attack to clinch their home opener 9-2 over the visiting Pirates of Ventura College. Stephen Kane had five solid innings with six strikeouts, two walks and two earned runs. Ryan Hartman relieved Kane for three innings and struck out six. Shortstop Parker Starr went 3-for-5 with two RBI's and two doubles.
