Unpleasant outcome for Chargers at OCC

Costa Mesa, CA - The Pirates clcked on all cylinders in defeating th Chargers 8-0 in a conference baseball game at Orange Coast College.  Bryson Kauhaahaa suffered his first loss of the season in the hands of the Pirates. He pitched 5 innings, gave up 9 hits and 5 earned runs. Unfortunately the offense did help in those five innings, producing 6 hits but also left 8 men on base. The Chargers loaded the bases with 2 outs in the top of the 4th but Sam Tolleson grounded out. Parker Starr singled to open the top of the 9th and advanced to second base on a pass ball, however the Pirates' Kyle Dowdy finished the next 3 Charger batters.
