Chargers Take Fourth in 2nd OEC Meet

Chargers Made their Season Debut at El Camino College

CYPRESS, CA - Cypress College is proud to announce that Makayla Serrano, a member of the Cypress College Swim team, has qualified for the 3C2A State Championships in two events: the 500 YD Free and the 1650 YD Free. Serrano's outstanding performance in the Orange Empire Conference Championships earned her a spot in the postseason.

COSTA MESA, CA - Cypress women's swim team ended their second Orange Empire Conference Swim meet in fifth place.

MISSION VIEJO, CA - Cypress women's swim finished in fifth place at Saddleback College for the team's first Orange Empire Conference meet of the season.

TORRANCE, CA - Cypress women's swim team traveled to El Camino College for their first meet of the season. The Chargers finished in third place out of seven schools.

Cypress College bids the Men's and Women's Swim & Dive Head Coach, Larry Beidler, farewell after 50+ years on the pool deck. Beidler was hired as the full-time Head Coach of the Cypress Chargers aquatics program in 1996.

COSTA MESA, CA – The Cypress College swim and dive team traveled to Costa Mesa for the OEC Championships at Orange Coast. The two-day meet started Thursday morning with prelim events and ended Friday night with the finals. The Chargers scored 474 points and took 5th place as a team, 4th place in women's events, and 4th place in men's events.
Cypress College swim traveled to Orange Coast College for their second swim meet of the season. The men's team tied Orange Coast for second place, while the women finished in fourth place. As a team, the Chargers took third place overall.
Cypress Swim competed in their first OEC match of the season and the men and women combined for 2nd place overall. The men's team earned 1st place, while the women finished in 4th.
The Cypress College swim team took part in their first OEC swim meet on Friday afternoon. The Chargers scored 477 points and took 5th place as a team, 4th place in women's events, and 5th place in men's events.
The Cypress College swim team traveled to Walnut for the 2020 Mt. Sac Swim Invitational last weekend. The men and women combined for a 5th place finish, totaling 737 points.

CUPERTINO, CA – De Anza College hosted the 2019 Swim & Dive State Championship, where sophomore Weston Spoon and freshman Meghan Efseaff capped off outstanding season’s for the Chargers.

MISSION VIEJO, CA – The Orange Empire Conference Swim and Dive Championships took place at Saddleback College over a three-day period where swimmers, Meghan Efseaff and Weston Spoon, qualified for the CCCAA State Championships.
