CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress Chargers (4-0) defeated College of the Canyons (0-2) at home, 3-1.

Canyons started off strong, scoring a run in the first inning thanks to a single by Brooke Petretti that brought Gigi Garcia home. However, Cypress quickly turned the tide in the third inning, scoring three runs to take the lead. Kaitlyn Reynolds played a crucial role for Cypress, delivering a single that brought in two runs, while Makayla Motis added another run with a single of her own. Canyons was unable to recover from this deficit and was held scoreless for the rest of the game.

UP NEXT: Cypress will travel to Long Beach City College on Friday, February 9 for their first away game of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00pm.
