Strong Second Half Propels Chargers Past Lasers in Conference
CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress Chargers men's basketball team claimed a hard-fought 63-49 victory over the Irvine Valley Lasers in conference play.
The Chargers set the tone early with James Christian III igniting the offense. He stole the ball and scored a breakaway layup for the first points of the game. Cypress's defense kept Irvine Valley's shooters in check, holding them to just 32.1% shooting from the field and an icy 15.8% from beyond the arc.
In the second half, Jack Rivera stepped up with smooth finishes at the rim, helping to extend Cypress's lead. Rivera's contributions off the bench proved crucial in maintaining the team's momentum.

Christian III contributed 10 points, including two three-pointers, along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Michael Wright dominated the boards with a game-high 11 rebounds while adding 9 points.
