Chargers Power Past LA Valley with 81-62 Victory at Home

CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress Chargers Men's Basketball team dominated at home with an 81-62 win over the LA Valley Monarchs, driven by strong team play and standout individual performances.
Amaan Zavahir was unstoppable in the paint, bulldozing his way to 19 points and knocking down multiple three-point plays, setting the tone for the Chargers' physical presence inside. Jack Rivera was hot from beyond the arc, hitting three triples and adding a crucial front-court steal that extended the Chargers' lead and sparked a momentum shift.
Michael Wright led the starters with 17 points, shooting 5-9 from the field and 6-7 from the free-throw line, along with 6 rebounds. Cypress shot 41.3% overall and an outstanding 84% from the line, with every Charger contributing to the win.
With a balanced attack and key plays on both ends, the Chargers secured a confident victory over LA Valley.
UP NEXT: Cypress will travel to Pasadena City College on Thursday, November 14 for the Skip Robinson Tournament. First game is against Mt. San Antonio College with a 3:00 pm tip-off.
