Cypress College basketball standout Jerred Cook has committed to play NAIA basketball next season at Bellevue University.

Cypress – The Charger men’s basketball team (10-16, 3-8 OEC) fell to rival Fullerton (4-22, 2-9 OEC) 62-56 on Wednesday evening after a solid second half comeback fell short. Jeremy Wright led the team in scoring with 15 points.

Santa Ana – For the second time this season, the Cypress men’s basketball team (10-14, 3-6 OEC) upset Santa Ana, this time on the road versus the second-place Dons (13-11, 5-4 OEC), winning 76-68 in overtime.

Cypress – The Cypress men’s basketball team (9-13, 2-5 OEC) fell to No. 4 Saddleback (23-2, 6-1 OEC) 70-53 as the second half of Orange Empire Conference play commenced on Friday evening

Men's basketball freshman guard Jeremy Wright has been named Charger of the Week (Jan. 12-18) after leading Cypress to its first conference victory of the season against Santa Ana on January 16th.

Cypress – The men’s basketball team (8-11, 1-3 OEC) dropped a close game to Irvine Valley College (10-9, 3-1 OEC) on Wednesday evening as Jeremy Wright led the team in scoring for the second consecutive contest.

Cypress – The Cypress men’s basketball team (8-10, 1-2 OEC) notched its first conference win of the season on Friday evening, defeating Santa Ana (9-9, 1-2 OEC) 58-45.

The men’s and women’s basketball teams will open up Orange Empire Conference play on Wednesday when both teams travel to Saddleback College.

Freshman Jeremy Wright has been named Charger of the Week (Dec. 29-Jan. 2) after helping the men's basketball team to its best showing in non-conference tournament play at San Diego Mesa.

El Cajon – The men’s basketball team is riding a two-game win streak after winning two of three contests at the Grossmont Tournament over the weekend.

Whittier – The Cypress men’s basketball team (1-4) notched its first win of the season on Tuesday at Rio Hondo (6-3), giving new head coach Andrew Alhadeff the first victory of his career.

Long Beach – The Cypress men’s basketball team (0-3) dropped a close game on the road Wednesday evening, falling to Long Beach City (2-2) 69-66.

Torrance – The Cypress men’s basketball team (0-1) dropped its season opener at El Camino (1-0) on Friday evening, 80-69, in new Head Coach Andrew Alhadeff’s debut at the helm of the program.
