Whittier – The Cypress men's basketball team (1-4) notched its first win of the season on Tuesday at Rio Hondo (6-3), giving new head coach Andrew Alhadeff the first victory of his career.
Jerred Cook led the team with a season-high 19 points, while Jordan Fleck was one shy of his season-high with 14. Both teams each grabbed 28 boards in the game as Fleck led the Chargers with a team-high six.
The road show continues for Cypress as they travel south to the Grossmont Tournament December 5-7. The team will first face host Grossmont on Friday at 6:00 pm, with the other games to be determined.
