CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress College Women's Volleyball Team defeated Santiago Canyon (1-13) to push their winning streak to 6 games. The Chargers' record is now (10-4) in conference play as they sit at #3 in the OEC standings with two games remaining.

The Lady Chargers were in control for the duration of the match as they went on to sweep the Hawks (25-21, 25-15, 25-21). Chargers' middle blocker, Mary Hicks, had 9 kills in another dominant performance to lead the team.

Sophomore, Ashley Corona rallied the defense with 16 digs, notching her 6th game this season with double digit digs. Setter, Danielle Gomez displayed another stellar performance totaling 36 assists, which has been an integral part of the win streak for the Chargers. In the last 7 games Gomez has totaled 30+ assists in each game. 

Women's volleyball will return this Friday, November 15th at Don Johnson Gym starting at 6:00pm against Irvine Valley College.
