CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress College women's volleyball team secured an upset victory on the road over OEC rival Fullerton College on Wednesday night (22-25, 26-24, 25-20, 11-25, 15-7). 

The Chargers dropped the match's opening set, but found a way to fight their way back in sets two and three to take the lead. The Hornets dominated the fourth set, before Cyrpess would close them out in the fifth and final set to win the match. Wednesday night's win moves the Chargers to 12-6 overall and 8-4 in Orange Empire Conference play with 4 games remaining in the regular season.

Freshman, Mary Hicks, led the way for the Chargers with 17 kills and 3 digs, while sophomore Savannah Johnson added 11 kills and 5 blocks on the night. 

Cypress will return to action at home on Friday night against Santa Ana College at 6:00pm.
