No. 18 Volleyball Sweeps No. 25 Golden West, 3-0
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - No. 18 women’s volleyball (10-4, 5-2 OEC) continued their recent hot-streak with a 3-0 sweep on the road over No. 25 Golden West College (8-8, 5-2 OEC) on Wednesday night.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - No. 18 women's volleyball (10-4, 5-2 OEC) continued their recent hot-streak with a 3-0 sweep on the road over No. 25 Golden West College (8-8, 5-2 OEC) on Wednesday night (25-20, 25-21, 25-20).
The win moves the Chargers into a four-way tie for second place in the Orange Empire Conference standings. Cypress, Golden West, Orange Coast, and Saddleback all currently sit at 5-2 in OEC play.
Freshman standout Khamis Berneker led the way for Cypress with 15 kills and 8 digs, while Brianna Johnson and Kayla Owens each added 9 kills and 4 digs. Freshman Penina Wilder finished the night with a season high 43 assists.
Women's volleyball will return to action this Friday on the road against Santa Ana College. First serve scheduled for 6:00 pm.
