Lady Chargers cleaned up the conference awards

Santa Ana, CA - It was great to get the accolades and recognition, and all of these were the result of the 11-1 conference record. The Chargers knew that this celebration was only a temporary one as they had to be ready for the first round of the Regionals which starts next weekend.

SECOND-TEAM, Doreen Lopez, not often we see a non-starter getting this recognition. Lopez' contribution off the bench was critical to the Chargers all season long, averaging 7.0ppg.

SECOND-TEAM, Samantha Soria was an integral part of the Charger offense, averaging 10.8ppg (7th in conference) and 83.7% FT (1st in conference.)

FIRST-TEAM, Chelsea Walton was the playmaker and defender who dished out 119 assists (3rd in conference) with a 1.9 assist/turnover ratio (1st in conference.) She also had 27 steals on the season (3rd on conference.)

FIRST-TEAM, Jeana Magana averaged 12.6ppg (6th in conference) and 35% from the 3-point land. SHe is 12th in the conference in rebounding at 5.6rpg.

COACH OF THE YEAR, Margaret Mohr went 11-1 in conference. Her specialty is defense, allowing the opponents to score only 51ppg.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR, Sloan Turner put up strong numbers all season long, averaging 12.9ppg (5th in conference), 107rpg (1st in conference) and 3.8bpg (1st in conference.)
