The softball seedings have been released for the 2015 CCCAA softball regionals with the #3 Cypress Chargers hosting #14 Rio Hondo College in a best of three match-up on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3.
The softball seedings have been released for the 2015 CCCAA softball regionals with the #3 Cypress Chargers hosting #14 Rio Hondo College in a best of three match-up on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3.
The Chargers finished the regular season as Orange Empire Conference champions with a 32-8 overall record and Rio Hondo finished in a 3-way tie for 1st place in the Foothill conference with a 22-17-1 overall record. Cypress defeated Rio Hondo 5-2 in their only meeting in this season on Feb. 7. Both teams have improved and made adjustments throughout the season, which should make this an exciting first round match-up.
Game one of the best of three series is scheduled for Saturday, May 2 at 2:00pm and game two is scheduled for Sunday, May 3 at 12:00pm.
