Point Guard, Tommie Flanagan Signs with Benedictine UniversityMay 18, 2022Cypress Chargers star point guard, Tommie Flanagan, signed his national letter of intent to Benedictine University in Mesa, Arizona on Thursday, May 19th. Flanagan will compete at the NAIA level after two years with the Cypress Chargers.

Chargers Come Up Short in SoCal Regional Semi-FinalMarch 04, 2022#19 Cypress men's basketball traveled to #3 San Bernardino Valley College for Round 2 of the CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs. SBVC (24-5) was tough competition for the Chargers as they came out victorious, 73-56.

Cypress Knocks Off Palomar in OT, 69-63, in First Round of CCCAA PlayoffsMarch 01, 2022#19 Cypress men's basketball (17-12) traveled to the #14 Palomar Comets (18-11) for round one of the CCCAA State Playoffs. The Chargers fought back and came out victorious, 66-63, and will advance to face San Bernardino Valley College on Thursday, March 3rd, at 7pm.

Three Chargers Earn All-OEC HonorsFebruary 28, 2022The Orange Empire Conference held their annual end of season meeting on Saturday, February 26th. The nine OEC coaches voted two Cypress Chargers, Tommie Flanagan and Grant Sii, to the All-OEC second team and Trent Goldmann was selected as an honorable mention.

Men's Basketball Travels to Palomar for Round 1 of the CCCAA PlayoffsFebruary 28, 2022The Cypress Chargers men's basketball team (16-12, 8-8 OEC) will travel for round one of the CCCAA playoffs on Tuesday, March 1, to Palomer College to take on the Comets (18-10). #19 Cypress and #14 Palomar will face off for a chance to advance to round two against #3 San Bernardino College on Thursday, March 3rd. The Chargers and Comets will tip-off at 7pm.

Paul Head Drops 29 Leads Chargers Over Santa Ana, 95-69February 23, 2022The Cypress Chargers (16-11, 8-7) finished strong in their final home game of the season by taking down the Santa Ana Dons (5-20, 2-13), 95-69, on Wednesday. The Chargers will now look to carry their momentum into the final game of the season before heading into the playoffs.

Coach Andrew Alhadeff earned his 100th victory as head coach of the Chargers in a 99-71 win over the Rustlers.

Men's Basketball Season PreviewSeptember 17, 2021The Cypress Chargers men's basketball team look to prepare for the upcoming season as they travel to Irvine for a 3-day showcase at the So Cal Fall Juco Jamboree. The Jamboree will consist of three scrimmages, starting on Friday, September 17th and ending on Sunday, September 19th. The long weekend should give Head Coach Drew Alhadeff an idea of what to expect for this upcoming season. "I am extremely excited to watch our guys play," Coach Alhadeff says, "they have have been training hard all off-season and our focus in these scrimmages will be defending and rebounding. Our guys have been competing every day against each other, so it will be good to see how they match up against opposing teams."

Former Men's Basketball Player, Now Army Ranger, Isaac Stell Shares His StorySeptember 10, 2021Cypress athletics would like to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11 by sharing the career of Cypress men's basketball alum and recently promoted Army Ranger, Isaac Stell. Isaac played for the Chargers during the 2018-19 season and is currently an Infantryman in the 75th Ranger Regiment based out of Fort Benning, Georgia.
