Cypress College volleyball standout Makayla Taylor will be playing at the NCAA Division II level next season as a Cal State LA Golden Eagle. Taylor had a tremendous sophomore season with the Chargers as their starting middle blocker.

Cypress – The third-seed Cypress Chargers women’s volleyball team battled undefeated second-seed Grossmont to five games, but eventually fell in the regional final 3-2 (25-16, 18-25, 25-23, 14-25, 12-15) on Tuesday evening.

Cypress – The third-seed Chargers (21-4) knocked off six-seed Fullerton (16-7) on Saturday evening in an epic five set thriller (18-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-18, 15-9) in the second round of the SoCal Regional.

Outside hitter Lindsey Ray has been named to the All-Region team for Southern California after an impressive sophomore campaign for the Charger volleyball team.

Four members of the 2014 Cypress volleyball team have been named to Orange Empire All-Conference team, highlighted by three earning first-team honors.

Cypress – Behind a big night from All-West Region and first-team All-OEC outside hitter Lindsey Ray, the third-seed Cypress Chargers defeated 14-seed LA Pierce 3-0- (25-22, 25-20, 25-17) on Tuesday night in the first round of the SoCal Regionals.

Cypress – The fifth-ranked women’s volleyball team wrapped up the regular season on Wednesday evening with a three game sweep of the visiting Santa Ana Dons (25-18, 25-11, 25-11).

Cypress – The fifth-ranked Cypress Chargers lost a 3-1 decision (17-25, 16-25, 25-16, 18-25) to No. 2 Irvine Valley College on Wednesday evening as only two games remain in the regular season.

Cypress – The No. 5 Cypress women’s volleyball team took care of business against Riverside, defeating the team in three games on Friday evening (25-23, 25-17, 25-11).

Huntington Beach – Ninth-ranked Golden West (14-5, 6-4 OECC) defeated No. 5 Cypress (16-3, 7-3 OEC) on Wednesday evening, 3-1 (25-20, 18-25, 18-25, 17-25).

Cypress – The fifth-ranked Cypress Chargers took down No. 7 Fullerton in three sets (25-22, 25-23, 25-20) on Halloween night to improve to 16-2 overall and 6-2 in conference

Costa Mesa – Cypress, the fifth-ranked team in the state, took down No. 6 Orange Coast on the road Wednesday evening, defeating the Pirates 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 26-24).

Cypress – The women’s volleyball team (13-2, 4-2 OEC) took care of business against Saddleback (2-9, 0-6 OEC) on Wednesday evening, defeating the Gauchos in three games (25-3, 25-16, 25-15).

Irvine – The women’s volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss on the road Friday evening, falling to the No. 1 team in the state and conference, Irvine Valley (14-25, 17-25, 23-25).

Riverside – The women’s volleyball team (12-1, 3-1 OEC) notched its third straight OEC victory on Wednesday night, sweeping Riverside in three games (25-19, 25-21, 25-17).

Cypress – The women’s volleyball team defeated Golden West on Friday evening in four games (25-23, 25-22, 26-28, 25-14) to improve to 10-1 on the season and 2-1 in OEC matches.
