Volleyball Takes Down Rival Fullerton in Five Sets
Fullerton – The Cypress volleyball team improved to 10-1 (1-1 OEC) on Wednesday night after defeating previously unbeaten rival Fullerton in five sets (25-15, 22-25, 25-19, 18-25, 15-7).

Fullerton – The Cypress volleyball team improved to 10-1 (1-1 OEC) on Wednesday night after defeating previously unbeaten rival Fullerton in five sets (25-15, 22-25, 25-19, 18-25, 15-7).
Makayla Taylor had a big game for the Chargers as she tallied a team-high 25 kills and 26 digs with a .512 hitting percentage. Lindsey Ray also had a good game, knocking down 20 kills to record a .326 average. In the final set, Taylor was six of eight, while Ray was five of seven which helped Cypress to a .632 hitting percentage in that set.
Ray (17), Paige Buchanan (16) and Ave Mikaele (15) also recorded double-digit digs in the victory.
The Chargers return home for a big matchup with Golden West (9-2, 1-1 OEC) on Friday at 7:00 pm.
