Volleyball Falls on the Road at Irvine Valley, 3-0

Irvine – The women’s volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss on the road Friday evening, falling to the No. 1 team in the state and conference, Irvine Valley (14-25, 17-25, 23-25).

Irvine – The women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss on the road Friday evening, falling to the No. 1 team in the state and conference, Irvine Valley (14-25, 17-25, 23-25). The Chargers are now 12-2 on the year and 2-2 in OEC play. Irvine Valley improved to 5-0 in conference play and 12-0 for the season.

Makayla Taylor and Lindsey Ray each tallied a team-high 12 kills, while Taylor led the team with 21 digs and Ray added 12. Taylor also led the team with three aces in the match.

The Chargers return home on Wednesday, Oct. 22 for a 7:00 pm match against Saddleback. They then hit the road to face Santa Ana on Friday, Oct. 24 at 7:00 pm.
