Huntington Beach – Ninth-ranked Golden West (14-5, 6-4 OECC) defeated No. 5 Cypress (16-3, 7-3 OEC) on Wednesday evening, 3-1 (25-20, 18-25, 18-25, 17-25).

Lindsey Ray led the team in kills with 16, while Makayla Taylor and Ave Mikaele each had a team-high 10 digs. Jasmine Covington had a good night at the net, tallying a team-leading six blocks.
The Chargers return home on Friday, Nov. 7 for a 7:00 pm match versus Riverside (6-13, 3-7 OEC).
