CYPRESS, CA - The Cypress Chargers Women''s Soccer team remained undefeated with a hard fought tie against Saddleback College resulting in a 1-1 draw.
At the start of the game both teams strongly defended their half. However, Cypress dominated possession by outshooting the Bobcats 9-3 in the first half and 15-12 overall.
The first goal of the game came in the second half at 55:41 when Itzel Ramirez scored off of an assist by Alisa Kangas. Kangas delivered the ball on the right side of the field to Ramirez in transition to score in the box. Saddleback responded late in the second half, and scored the last goal at the 87th minute to tie the game 1-1.
Top performers included Itzel Ramirez with 1 goal, Alisa Kangas with 1 assist and Emily Peñaloza with 4 saves.
