CYPRESS, CA - Cypress Chargers men's soccer (6-3-2, 2-1 OEC) hosted the Orange Coast Pirates (4-4-2, 0-2-1 OEC) in their third conference game of the season on Friday afternoon. The Chargers had a strong showing as they defeated OCC, 2-0. 

The Chargers offense battled their way towards the net with an early goal in the first half by Alfonso Montano (27') assisted by Carlos Daniel Nava. The Cypress defense was dominant as they only allowed one shot on goal the entire match. Cypress had a balanced offensive attack as five Chargers had a shot on goal with multiple promising opportunities. Their aggressive offensive attack paid off with a goal in the second half when Braulio Morales (57') rattled the post on his first shot and then put the ball in the back of the net with a second chance finish. Cypress capitalized against a struggling Orange Coast team and will look to carry their momentum into the next match. 

UP NEXT: Cypress will continue conference play when they travel to Santa Ana (4-3-3, 1-0-1 OEC) Tuesday, October 12th. The game will kickoff at 3pm.
