CYPRESS, CA- Cypress men's basketball (17-11, 10-6 OEC) will be on the road against the Long Beach City Vikings (16-12, 4-6 WSC) on Wednesday, February 22nd for the First Round of CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs.
After clinching a playoff spot in the last week of the 2022-2023 regular season, Cypress claimed the #18 seed in the CCCAA. The Chargers improved upon the prior season by finishing with a 17-11 overall and 10-6 conference record. This is the third consecutive year the program has competed in the postseason.
The opponent, Long Beach City College, finished their year 16-12 overall and 4-6 conference record being placed at the #15 seed in the CCCAA. The Vikings proved to play better on the road then at home with a 6-5 away and 5-6 home record. Last season, Cypress escaped the First Round but exited in the Second Round to San Bernardino Valley. The team and Head Coach Alhadeff look to play strong into the postseason. The First Round matchup will be at 7pm.
DETAILS: Per CCCAA regulations, tickets will be $12 for Adults and $8 for Youth/Students.
