Cypress Wins Sixth Straight with Conference Play Next

CYPRESS, CA- Cypress men's basketball (7-5, 0-0 OEC) win their sixth straight against the LA Southwest Cougars (6-6, 0-0 LACCD), 59-53.

The matchup opened with a slow start on both sides. Cypress took advantage of the Cougars missed shots and turnovers. The Chargers led the game in rebounds with 32 to LA Southwest's 29. Cypress forced twice as many turnovers as they gave up by only handing over the ball 11 times.

Two minutes remained in regulation and the Chargers managed to separate themselves by extending their lead to four points. A dagger by Hadi Essayli electrified the crowd as the Chargers worked to finish out the game. Cypress was successful in doing so, beating the visiting team, 59-53.
