Chargers Earn Monterey Bay Classic Consolation Championship
MONTEREY, CA – The Cypress College men's basketball team (8-2) traveled to Northern California for the Monterey Bay Classic, hosted by Monterey Peninsula College this past weekend. The Chargers finished the tournament 2-1 and were crowned Consolation Champions.

MONTEREY, CA – The Cypress College men's basketball team (8-2) traveled to Northern California for the Monterey Bay Classic, hosted by Monterey Peninsula College this past weekend. The Chargers finished the tournament 2-1 and were crowned Consolation Champions.
Cypress opened the tournament with a 72-65 loss to West Valley on Thursday, before bouncing back with a 69-64 win over Gavilan on Friday. The Chargers capped off the weekend with a 67-52 victory over Hartnell to claim the consolation championship.
UP NEXT: Men's basketball will host the 5th Annual Don Johnson Classic on Friday, December 13. Cypress opens tournament play on against Moorpark at 5:00 pm.
