HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – The Cypress College beach volleyball team fell just one point shy of another Orange Empire Conference Title on Friday afternoon at Golden West College, as they battled in the final regular season three-way of the year.

The Lady Chargers began the day against OEC leader and host Golden West. Cypress held a 2-1 lead heading into the #4's and #5's matchups, where the Rustlers fought off the Chargers winning both games in three sets to win the conference title outright, 3-2.

Cypress shook off a tough loss and ended the day with a victory over Santa Ana College, 3-2. The Chargers finish the regular season with a 9-7 overall record and second best 5-2 record in OEC play.

Beach Volleyball will return to action in the OEC Pairs Tournament at Irvine Valley College on Wednesday, April 25.
