Women’s Soccer Notches 1-0 Victory at Orange Coast

Costa Mesa – The Cypress women’s soccer team notched a 1-0 shutout win on the road at Orange Coast on Tuesday afternoon to improve to 11-1-4 on the season and 8-1-3 in conference play.

Costa Mesa – The Cypress women's soccer team notched a 1-0 shutout win on the road at Orange Coast on Tuesday afternoon to improve to 11-1-4 on the season and 8-1-3 in conference play. OCC fell to 7-6-2 on the year and 5-5-1 in OEC play.

The Chargers have held opponents scoreless 11 times this season, including the last two matches, and previously shut out Orange Coast 2-0 at home on Sept. 26.

Cypress scored the only goal of the game in the 27^th minute on a set piece. Jenny Marin took the corner kick, serving the ball into the box where Elizabeth Gutierrez was able to knock the ball in for the only score of the game.

The Chargers will next play at Saddleback at 3:00 pm on Halloween.
