BAKERSFIELD, CA - May 5, 2024 - The Cypress Chargers Men's Golf Team showcased their skills at the 3C2A SoCal Regional Tournament held at the Rio Bravo Country Club in Bakersfield. After an intense day of competition on May 5, the team landed in an impressive third place with a total score of 381.

Leading the pack for the Chargers was Berkecem Renda, who shot a 72. Following closely behind were Vincent Quintero with a 74, Basil Strolz with a 76, Alex Mascaro with a 78, Grant Muhlenbruch with an 81, and Will Oates with an 82.

The team's performance on day one puts them in a strong position for the tournament's second day, which will determine if they advance to the State Championships at the Sandpiper Golf Club on the weekend of May 12-13. Only the top four teams from the SoCal Regional will move on to compete at the State Championships.
