SANTA ANA, Calif. ---  Despite beating Irvine Valley for the seventh time this season, the Cypress Chargers finished fifth out of six OEC teams at the Santa Ana GC.

The Chargers finished with a combined total of 420 strokes and were just five strokes away from defeating Saddleback College (416), for a potential fourth place finish.

Spencer Wilde led the Chargers once again, shooting a 78 on the par 72 course.  Connor Whitcomb ended up finishing second for the Chargers team with a score of +11 (83) for the Cypress men.

Michael Chen from Orange Coast College shot three under par (69), in his impressive first place overall finish.

The Chargers tee-off once again at the Victoria GC later today in Riverside, Calif.
