Chargers Advance to State Championship Semi-Final
The Chargers will take on the Loser of Golden West vs. Santa Rosa in the State Championship Semi-Final tonight.

FRESNO, CA – The Cypress College baseball team (31-14) bounced back after Friday's 6-5 loss to Santa Rosa by eliminating Delta with an 11-7 victory this morning. The Chargers will take on OEC rival Golden West in the State Championship Semi-Final tonight at 5:15pm.
Andrew Quezada (10-3) allowed 11 hits and 5 earned runs in his third complete game of the season. Willie Aguilar stepped up for the Chargers with 3 hits, 1 run, and 2 RBI while Paul Gomez added 2 hits and 3 RBI.
Cypress trailed Delta 6-3 at the bottom of the sixth inning, but came up with 4 huge runs with 2 outs on the board to regain control of the game. Brandon Gonzalez (1-for-5, 2 RBI) drilled a 2 RBI single down the first base line follwed by an Aguilar 2 RBI double to center field to give Cypress the momentum and the lead.
The Chargers posted 4 more runs in the seventh inning to extend the lead and advance to tonight's semi-final.
