SACRAMENTO, CA - The 3C2A officially announced that Cypress College track and field alum Dan Ripley will be one of six inductees honored as a member of the 2024 3C2A Hall of Fame Class. The induction ceremony will take place in Sacramento on March 27, during the organization's annual convention. Tickets to the Hall of Fame Dinner can be purchased here.
Ripley is a member of the Cypress College Athletics Hall of Fame for his collegiate accolades as a 3C2A State Champion and record holder in pole vault. In 1973, Dan captured the Men's Pole Vault State Championship as a Charger before transferring to San Jose State University where he became the NCAA record holder. After a successful collegiate career, he became a member of the USA National team, winning National Championships in 1978 and 1982. As a coach, Ripley accumulated three State Championships, two State Runner-up finishes, and a two State Track Coach of the Year selections at Long Beach City College.
