Chargers Mourn Loss of Alumni Swimmer, Damontre Pamilton

The Cypress College swim team and athletics family regrets to announce the sudden passing of beloved alumni swimmer Damontre "D" Pamilton (2007-2009).

Damontre was a sprint freestyler and backstroker, who held the 100-yard backstroke record at Cypress College from 2009-2012. He received a scholarship to the University of Incarnate Word, Texas where he continued his swimming career, earning All-American honors in 2010. Damontre received his bachelor's and master's degree at UIW where he continued to give back as an admissions counselor.

The Cypress College swim team will be dedicating it's 2018 swim season to honoring his memory. As a Charger "D" personified the meaning of teammate. His leadership, charisma, and kindness engulfed everyone around him. His smile will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

The Charger swim family will be holding a remembrance celebration in honor of Damontre Pamilton on Thursday, October 19th at 6:00 pm in the Gym II Hall of Fame foyer.

Damontre leaves behind a wife and two young children.
