CYPRESS, CA – The Cypress College Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), under the leadership of Head Men's Basketball Coach Andrew Alhadeff, ran their first official meeting on Friday.
Twenty student-athletes representing nearly all fourteen athletic programs were in attendance to discuss the future of SAAC. "We had a great turnout with a lot of new faces that were able to contribute to the mission and vision of the SAAC," said SAAC President Shawn Larkins. "We began to form plans to get more involved in the community and on campus. I have really high hopes for what we can accomplish as a committee this year."
The inaugural meeting included discussions regarding athletics marketing, facilities, community service, and the creation of a winning environment.
