Women's Water Polo End of Season Awards

CYPRESS, CA- The Chargers Women's Water Polo team had two selections: Taylor Weber was named Second Team All-SoCal CCCAA, and Makayla Serrano was named Second Team All-OEC. 

Taylor Weber - Utility 

Taylor Weber, a utility player for the Chargers and team captain, was named Second Team All-SoCal CCCAA this season. With her leadership and athletic abilities, she played a vital role in the success of the Chargers this year. Her career stats at Cypress College totaled 45 goals, 43 steals and 31 assists. 

Makayla Serrano - Utility 

In the 2022 season, Makayla Serrano, a Freshman out of Villa Park HS, was named Second Team All-OEC. Serrano lit up the stat book with 45 goals, 24 assists, and 24 steals on the season. Her consistency and scoring ability helped create success for Cypress this year. 

 

Honorable Mentions

Hanah Salazar and Jezebell Cervantes were named All-OEC Honorable Mentions. Salazar, a Sophomore wing, had 50 goals, 15 assists, and 28 steals on the season. Cervantes, a Freshman, had 50 goals, 33 assists, and 61 steals for the Chargers.
