Cypress Women’s Water Polo Conclude Season

CYPRESS, CA- Cypress women's water polo (10-12, 0-7 OEC) ends the 2022 season with a playoff loss.

In the month of October, the Chargers went on a 6 game winning streak to push themselves into the playoffs. While Cypress struggled on the road with an 0-5 record, they excelled at home with a record of 6-3. The team went undefeated at the Battle at the Beach tournament winning 4 straight games. 

In their final game, Jezebell Cervantes led the team in 4 steals while also recording an assist and a goal. Makayla Serrano led the team with 3 steals and contributed an assist and a steal. With a slow start, the Chargers could not keep up with the high scoring Saddleback offense which netted 17 goals. 

The Cypress women's water polo team ended the year with an overall record of 10-12. The Chargers continue their streak of making the playoffs for now the fifth year in a row.
