Women's Soccer Kicks Off First Home Match of the Season Vs Santiago Canyon

CYPRESS, CA – The women's soccer team completed their third match of the season Thursday afternoon against Santiago Canyon. The Chargers have played in two previous OEC exhibition matches when they traveled to Golden West and Orange Coast. Last season, four sophomore Chargers committed to play soccer at the next level. Jordan Barber from Lakewood, CA and Taleah Carter from La Habra, CA both committed to California State University, Dominguez Hills. In addition, Morgan Patea and Audree Campos were two Cypress forwards who went on to play at California State University, Los Angeles. Barber, Patea, and Campos were all First Team All-OEC selections with Carter earning a spot on the Second Team All-OEC. The Chargers finished the 2019-2020 season with 17 wins and 57 total goals and were seeded first going into the CCCAA Regional Playoffs.

 UP NEXT: The Chargers will be away next week as they take on Santiago Canyon on Thursday, April 15th at 1pm to close out the 2021 season.
