No. 16 Cypress Chargers Set to Host No. 17 Santa Ana in SoCal Regionals
Chargers and Dons Face Off for the Third Time This Season in Playoff Battle
CYPRESS, CA – The No. 16 Cypress Chargers (8-6-7, 5-3-6 OEC) are set to host the No. 17 Santa Ana Dons (10-6-4, 8-3-3 OEC) in the opening round of the 3C2A SoCal Regionals on Wednesday, November 20, at 1 PM at Cypress College. This match will mark the third meeting between these Orange Empire Conference (OEC) rivals this season.
In their first encounter, the Chargers and Dons battled to a defensive stalemate, ending the match in a scoreless draw. Santa Ana gained the upper hand in their second meeting at home, defeating Cypress 4-1. Now, the stage is set for a decisive playoff showdown on the Chargers' home turf.
The stakes couldn't be higher, as the winner will advance to face the No. 1 SoCal seed, Long Beach City College (16-3-3, 5-2-2 SCC), on Saturday, November 23.
