Hugo Toledo Selected to OEC First Team

After finishing seventh in the Orange Empire Conference, the Cypress College Men's Soccer team (5-14-2, 2-10-2) had three members selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference team.

Sophomore defender Hugo Toledo was named to the All-Orange Empire Conference First team. Toledo played in all 21 games for the Chargers as he started 19 games and came off the bench twice. Toledo improved from his first season with the Chargers where he contributed one assist. He led the Chargers with 4 assists on the season and finished the season tied for the tenth most assists in conference play with 3. He also scored two goals for the Chargers and was great defensively for the Chargers.

Sophomore forward Sanson Lopez and freshman midfielder Eddie Mayasich were named to the All-Orange Empire Conference Second team.

Lopez played in all 21 games for the Chargers as he started 19 games and came off the bench twice. Lopez improved from his three goal performance last season as he finished tied for the second most goals on the Chargers with 4. He also led the Chargers with two game winning goals and contributed two assists, tied for the second most on the team. In his first year with the Chargers Mayasich played in all 21 games, starting 19 and coming off the bench twice. Mayasich played both in the midfield and as a defender. He contributed one assist and was one of the best players at generating scoring chances for the Chargers.
