Bio
Sean Clark was named the inaugural head coach of the Cypress College Women’s Flag Football program, set to debut in Spring 2026. A passionate leader with deep ties to the local community, Clark brings a wealth of coaching experience and a commitment to growing the sport at all levels.
Clark’s coaching career spans multiple programs, including Los Alamitos High School, Lakewood High School, and Kennedy High School. Most recently, he played a pivotal role in establishing and leading Kennedy’s Girls’ Flag Football program following its official sanctioning by the CIF.
Beyond high school athletics, Clark has been instrumental in expanding youth flag football opportunities. He founded the "Friday Night Lights" youth league in Cypress, which has since expanded to the City of Tustin. Under his leadership, the youth girls' flag football program has grown from fewer than 20 participants to over 700 in just two years.
A Los Alamitos High School alumnus, Clark began his collegiate journey at Cypress College before transferring to Cal State Dominguez Hills, where he earned his B.A. in History, teaching credentials, and a Master’s in Mild Moderate Special Education. He currently serves as a teacher at Kennedy High School in La Palma, CA.
Now, as he takes the helm at Cypress College, Clark is dedicated to building a competitive and inclusive Women’s Flag Football program that will leave a lasting impact on student-athletes and the community.
