CYPRESS, CA – The Cypress College baseball program has seen over 300 student-athletes move on to play at four-year universities in its storied history, including 20 who have made Major League appearances. The Chargers are continuing the tradition of moving players on to the next level under second year Head Coach Anthony Hutting.

For the second consecutive year, the Chargers are sending 15 members of the baseball team on to play at four-year schools next season, five of which will play for NCAA Division I schools.

Dominic Campeau, Long Beach State

The 2018 Orange Empire Conference MVP led the Chargers with a .414 AVG, 56 RBI, .619 SLG, 5 HR, and 75 hits last season. He led the conference in hits and slugging percentage, while finishing top-five among OEC hitters in at-bats, RBI, and batting average. The CSUSB transfer earned ABCA/Rawlings All-America First Team and CCCAA First Team All-State honors after his standout season playing catcher and first base for Coach Hutting and the Chargers.

Riley Ohl, UC Riverside

Ohl put together a string of strong performances on the mound for the Chargers this season. He finished with a 4-2 record and 1 save in 12 appearances last season, before injury cut the year short. Ohl posted a 4.93 ERA with 52 strikeouts in 45.2 innings.

Greg Lamb, Old Dominion

Lamb was a versatile infielder for the Chargers last season, appearing in the lineup as a shortstop, third baseman, and second baseman. He displayed flashes of offensive brilliance, hitting for a .299 AVG with 10 RBI on the year.

Aaron Simpson, Ball State

The 2018 Orange Empire Conference First Team selection hit .297 AVG with 24 RBI, while leading the team in stolen bases (10), as an outfielder for the Chargers last season. He stepped up in conference play, batting .352 with 13 RBI and 5 extra base hits.

Trevor Fonseca, Houston Baptist

Fonseca led the Chargers in 2018 with a .492 OBP and ranked second with a .375 AVG. Despite only earning 48 at-bats last season, he made his mark when called upon to deliver at the plate.

Elias Ledesma, Azusa Pacific

Ledesma, who entered Cypress College as Santa Fe High School's Athlete of the Year, displayed his abilities for two seasons on the diamond at Cypress College. After redshirting the 2016 season, Ledesma hit .333 AVG with 10 RBI as an outfielder his freshman season. He had a more prominent role his sophomore season, nearly doubling his at-bats, while hitting .271 AVG with 13 RBI.

Kenneth Pettibone, Azusa Pacific

The 6'6 right-hander finished his two-year career with a 2-1 record in 19 appearances. Pettibone posted a career 3.31 ERA to go along with 24 strikeouts in 35.1 innings pitched.

Griffin Hennessey, Chico State

Hennessey made his presence felt in just one season as an infielder with Coach Hutting and the Chargers. He hit .237 with a .356 OBP and three RBI in just 38 at-bats.

Daniel Foret, Chico State

Foret displayed his talents as a relief pitcher for the Chargers. He finished his two-year career with 4 saves and a 3-0 record. Foret finished the 2018 season with a 2.45 ERA and 31 strikeouts after tossing just three shutout innings during his freshman campaign.

Aaron Lizarraga, Chico State

Lizarraga had a monster 2018 season with the Chargers. He hit a team-leading five home runs and ranked second on the team with 31 RBI and 46 hits on the year. The sophomore infielder hit not only for power, but for average, batting .305 with a .338 OBP in 151 at-bats.

Pierson Loska, Cal State Dominguez

Loska was on pace to have an All-Conference caliber season before being derailed by injury. The two-year starter at first base finished his career with a .290 AVG, 54 RBI, and 7 homers. Through the 2018 season's first 31 games, Loska hit .323 with 27 RBI and 5 home runs.

Connor McCollum, Colorado Christian

McCollum simply got the job done on the mound in his two seasons with the Chargers. He finished his career with a 9-1 record in 25 appearances, posting a 4.88 ERA with 51 strikeouts in 75.2 innings. After a few hurdles his freshman season he bounced back in a big way, going 7-1 with a 4.09 ERA.

Jake Mahood, Concordia

Mahood was a relief pitcher for the Chargers his freshman year, before making his first start on opening day of the 2018 season. He finished his two-year career with a 7-6 record on the mound, earning three saves and tossing one complete game. Mahood amassed 89 career strikeouts with a 3.14 ERA in 111 innings of work. He posted a 2.56 ERA with 68 strikeouts his sophomore year, earning a spot on the 2018 All-OEC First Team.

Eddie Fournier, Hope International

Fournier saw limited action on the mound in his two years at Cypress, but was always steady when called upon. He finished his career with a 4.35 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 10.1 innings.

Shaine McNeely, Hope International

McNeely made his mark as a two-year reliever for the Chargers. He finished with a 3-5 record, while posting a career 4.04 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 22 appearances and 8 starts.
