Cameron Davidson and Tanya Carbajal Represent Cypress on the OEC Character Champion Team

Cypress men's water polo star, Cameron Davidson, and Chargers women's basketball leader, Tanya Carbajal, represented Cypress College on the 2021-22 NEVCO Character Champion Team. Davidson and Carbajal have both been excellent examples of character, as they have lead their respective teams over the last three seasons.

Cypress Celebrates National Girls and Women's Day in Sports

The Cypress Chargers are celebrating the 36th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on Feb. 2, a day made to recognize and honor their athletic achievements. NGWSD was chartered by Congress in 1986 to remember Olympic volleyball player Flo Hyam, who was considered the best women’s volleyball player of her time and was also known for her work to assure equality for women’s sports.

Charger Student-Athletes Step-Up to Achieve Significant Academic Success

CYPRESS, CA- The Cypress College Athletics Department announced on Wednesday that the department's 228 student-athletes posted a 3.02 grade point average (GPA) where nine of the athletic teams achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the Fall 2021 semester.

Cypress Student Athletes Excel on the Field and In the Classroom

After battling through a season of the unknown, Cypress College student athletes were not only forced to change their athletic routine but also continued to adapt to remote learning. Our student athletes went above and beyond achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.1 during the 2020-21 school year, improving from 3.0 the previous year. 59% of our student athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or higher during the 2020-2021 school year.
