Julio Cruz serves as the Marketing Assistant, Videographer, and Photographer for Cypress College Athletics, currently entering his second season. He specializes in producing multimedia content that highlights and promotes the college’s athletics program, combining creative storytelling with strategic marketing throughout 14 intercollegiate sports. Julio’s goal is to provide meaningful exposure for Cypress College student-athletes, helping them gain visibility and access to opportunities that support both academic growth and athletic advancement. 

 

A graduate of California State University Long Beach with a B.A. in Spanish, Julio is deeply committed to using his media production and marketing skills to amplify the stories of Cypress College student-athletes. Through compelling visuals and strategic outreach, he strives to enhance the recognition of their achievements and contribute to their growth both on the field and in the classroom.

 

With over four years of experience in video production, social media management, and brand promotion, Julio brings a dynamic creative vision to every project. Prior to joining Cypress College, he worked at CT101, a podcast under the iHeartMedia group, where he served as a Videographer, Set Production Assistant, and Assistant Producer on select projects including guest interview coordination and behind-the-scenes production support. 

 

In addition to his work in higher education and media, Julio has contributed to several nonprofit initiatives, including serving as a videographer for Community Coalition's Power Fest in Los Angeles. He has also volunteered his media and event support skills for student-led organizations and cultural events at California State University Long Beach, including the CSULB Spanish Club and WGSSSA @ The Beach. 

 

Residing in Anaheim, CA, Julio enjoys film photography and is a passionate Real Madrid CF fan.
