CYPRESS, CA – The men's soccer team completed their first home match of the season Thursday afternoon against Santiago Canyon. The Chargers have played in two previous OEC exhibition matches when they traveled to Golden West and Orange Coast. Last season, four Chargers were selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference Team. Nomar Ibarra and Lorenzo La Violette were selected for the All-OEC First Team while Kian Aminloo and Leonardo Mondragon earned spots on the All-OEC Second Team. The Chargers finished the 2019-2020 season with 10 wins and 34 total goals during Coach Cristian Rus' first campaign as the Chargers head coach. Coach Rus is looking forward to building a championship level program here at Cypress College.
UP NEXT: The Chargers will face Bethesda University on their home field on Wednesday, April 14th at 1:00PM in the final week of their 2021 season.
