Stephensen, Burke & Leach Earn All-Conference Water Polo Honors
Cypress – Three members of the 2014 Cypress women’s water polo team have been named to Orange Empire All-Conference teams, highlighted by first-team accolades for goalie Becca Stephensen.
Cypress – Three members of the 2014 Cypress women's water polo team have been named to Orange Empire All-Conference teams, highlighted by first-team accolades for goalie Becca Stephensen.
Stephensen tallied 281 saves during the season, helping the freshman earn first-team honors. Burke and Leach were each named second-team honorees. Casey Burke, a freshman, led the Chargers in scoring this season, tallying 58 goals. She also was second on the team in steals (60) and had a team-high six assists. Taylor Leach, who is a sophomore, was the No. 2 scorer for Cypress with 51 goals. She led the team in steals with 75 and also added three assists.
